The application typically opens 3-4 weeks before the deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 56勛圖厙 Bothell Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship helps to offset expenses required to participate in a study abroad program. Applicants must be current 56勛圖厙 Bothell students enrolled in a degree program, residents of Washington State, have a minimum 2.75 GPA, and commit to promoting study abroad opportunities in the Bothell community upon their return as a <a href=\"\/connected-learning\/global\/abroad\/ambassadors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Study Abroad Ambassador<\/a>. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will be selected for the 56勛圖厙 Bothell Study Abroad Ambassador Scholarship based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current enrollment in a 56勛圖厙 Bothell degree program and plans to remain enrolled for at least one term after completing the study abroad experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in a credit-earning study abroad program, either in-person or virtual, that is academically or personally relevant. Acceptance does not need to be confirmed at the time of application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Track record of contribution to the community, in and\/or outside the 56勛圖厙 Bothell campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to promoting study abroad and other international enrichment opportunities in the Bothell community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to students who are participating in a study abroad program for the first time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Washington State residents will be given priority (per funding sources).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=W9229i_wGkSZoBYqxQYL0n6UnxKArJFAuqhposmkmkhUNVcyNFFIT1VIWFUyWUlOSkJUUjU2OUlUSC4u\">Submit your application online<\/a>. You will be asked to provide:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Basic personal information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resume: remember to tailor it to this application. Make sure to include a section with your involvement in the community in and\/or outside the 56勛圖厙 Bothell campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name, dates, and relevance of your study abroad program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimated or actual airfare for your study abroad program. For virtual programs, the program cost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Essay describing how you plan to promote study abroad and other international enrichment opportunities in the Bothell community (200-300 words).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statement of financial impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four deadlines throughout the academic year. <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=W9229i_wGkSZoBYqxQYL0n6UnxKArJFAuqhposmkmkhUNVcyNFFIT1VIWFUyWUlOSkJUUjU2OUlUSC4u\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Complete your application<\/a> and ensure submission of all supporting materials by the following dates for any upcoming program in any upcoming academic term:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:59pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:59pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:59pm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:59pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Late applications will be deferred to the next application round, unless the program has already begun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notification and Disbursement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Award recipients will be notified by e-mail within four to six weeks of the deadline and their names may be announced publicly via 56勛圖厙 Bothell media and publications.
