Bringing Syrian voices to the West

For her undergraduate research, 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell senior Malak Shalabi interviewed Syrian refugees in Jordan about torture they suffered. The law, economics and public policy major is headed to the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Law School to study international law, with the goal of promoting justice in the Muslim world.

56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell faculty Jeff Jensen and Rob Turner and their students are working on a project to return once-plentiful kokanee salmon to Lyon Creek in Lake Forest Park. Jensen is using a remote site egg incubator, and Turner is monitoring the water quality of storm runoff.
