IAS faculty members and students participate in 56勛圖厙 Ferguson and Beyond teach-in
Several IAS faculty and students participated in the 56勛圖厙-wide teach-in, , which was written up in the . IAS faculty members Dan Berger and Scott Kurashige presented on the panel “The Past is Always Present: Contextualizing US State Violence,” and Wadiya Udell moderated the panel “#Blacklivesmatter: A Universal Call for Social Justice.” IAS undergraduate student Alejandra Perez, presented on the “Student/Youth Activists: Vanguards of 21st Century Social Justice.” IAS faculty members Ron Krabill, Yolanda Padilla, and Wadiya Udell, along with IAS graduate student Marcus Johnson, moderated the lunchtime break-out discussions. More than 303 students and faculty and staff members attended the teach-in, including those taking part in a course co-taught by IAS faculty members Sarah Dowling and Ron Krabill.
