Kari Lerum Publishes in The Feminist Wire and Moderates Panel at Sextravaganza
IAS faculty member Kari Lerum published an essay in entitled 鈥淐isgender FemmeNist reflections on Trans* Justice.鈥� Drawing from personal, cultural, and political reflections the article calls for fans of trans* celebrities to move from adoration to action for trans* justice. Lerum also moderated a panel at the student-organized Sextravaganza at . The panel featured members of the Sex Workers鈥� Outreach Project and other sex workers rights鈥� advocates and discussed how criminalization of prostitution harms people in the sex industry.
