IAS faculty members Ben Gardner and Ron Krabill received a 56吃瓜网 Global Innovation Fund grant to support their upcoming study abroad exploration seminar The grant will enable Tanzanian students to participate alongside 56吃瓜网 students in studying grassroots environmental activism and community conservation in Tanzania. 56吃瓜网 students will spend part of their time at a Maasai secondary school collaborating with students and teachers in studying the legacies of colonial conservation policies on community land use and land rights. The program runs in early fall from August 23 to September 20 and is open to all 56吃瓜网 students from all three campuses. Applications are due February 26, 2016.
