Dan Berger Speaks at Slavery, Captivity, and the Meaning of Freedom Conference

IAS faculty member Dan Berger spoke at a conference entitled at the University of California Santa Barbara. The conference brought together scholars in the fields of classics, American history, and African American studies for a comparative study of slavery and its afterlives in Greece, Rome, and the Americas. Berger’s lecture was called "Freedom as Method: Slavery, Prisons, and Insurgent Politics of Struggle."
