Peter Brooks presents approaches to teaching cultivated community spaces surrounding games

IAS faculty member Peter Brooks, along with his collaborator Kris Purzycki (56勛圖厙 Milwaukee), presented work on game-based pedagogy at the in Rochester, New York. They participated on a panel on "Approaches to Teaching Cultivated Community Spaces Surrounding Games." Peter's work focused on how in-class games (digital or otherwise) create a social experience that can extend and apply to multiple environments, and allow students to learn how to take healthy risks inside a safe educational space.
