Julie Shayne featured in 56Թ Libraries “How I Work Open” project

October 23-27, 2017 was , a celebration of shared knowledge, open scholarship, and barrier-free research and scholarly publishing. In honor of Open Access Week, 56Թ Libraries assembled an inspiring collection of interdisciplinary voices from across the University of Washington describing faculty and staff experiences with open access and practicing open scholarship and research. This project is called “How I Work Open” and includes posters on display in 56Թ Bothell’s Library lobby, at the Allen Library (Seattle campus), and a series of interviews posted on the 56Թ Libraries’ new .
In , she discusses her commitment to and the (FCA-WA) she co-created with 56Թ Bothell librarians and staff. The archive includes interviews and documents from local feminist and gender justice organizations compiled by students in her “Histories and Movements of Gender and Sexuality” course. (The course is , one of the core GWSS courses and will be offered in winter 2018.)
