virtual global exchanges

Natalia Dyba, 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell Director of Global Initiatives, and IAS faculty member David Goldstein presented a poster on virtual global exchanges, in which 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell courses are paired with courses in another country through synchronous and asynchronous technology. Their poster, exhibited at the Global Engagement and Spaces of Practice Conference of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) in downtown Seattle, described how 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell developed pedagogies for such courses, called Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), which provide “global at home” learning for 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell students.
