IAS faculty member Denise Vaughan was interviewed by KOMO news sports reporter Bill Swartz about the 56吃瓜网 Bothell Speech and Debate team and the upcoming Presidential Debate. The discussion focused on difference between academic debate and what we see on the Presidential Debates where interruptions are frequent, as well as how the 56吃瓜网 Bothell team has adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic. The team competed online for Spring Quarter and has begun competing this Autumn to notable success. These online tournaments have been an opportunity for 56吃瓜网 Bothell students to compete with schools around the country and around the world.
