Melanie Malone and Jin-Kyu Jung receive Antipode grant
IAS faculty members Melanie Malone and Jin-Kyu Jung received an "Right to the Discipline" grant along with colleagues Carrie Freshour (56吃瓜网 Seattle), Emma Slager (56吃瓜网 Tacoma), and activists from Free Them All. The project entitled “The Freedom Mapping Institute: Connecting People and Places for Abolition" will focus on connecting those impacted by the prison industrial complex to mapping skills and will also document how prisons have shaped landscapes in rural communities in Washington.
