IAS faculty members Carrie Bodle and Amaranth Borsuk will be exhibiting their collaborative project聽聽at the 2023聽. Their augmented reality print-based work was聽initially funded by a聽2020 SRCP grant聽and is based on the National Archives at Seattle. The work聽聽interrogates the relationship of archives to place and public. In two large-scale prints that layer and聽distort archival holdings, visitors can materialize the spectral presence of digital documents, inviting聽us to re-envision an archive that is simultaneously here and gone.聽, an undergraduate聽in the 56吃瓜网 School of Art Division of Design, is a research assistant with the project and received a聽2023 Mary Gates Research Scholarship for her involvement in the work.
