The 56³Ô¹ÏÍø campus community came together on Friday, Oct. 20, to celebrate the 162nd birthday of the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø through its annual tri-campus event, W Day. This year’s party at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell, held on the Plaza, attracted almost 800 people.
More than 30 staff, faculty and student volunteers worked at the event, which was organized by Advancement’s Office of Ceremonies & Events and the Campus Events team. Holly the Husky was also in attendance, joined this year by ambassador dogs from the Washington Alaskan Malamute Adoption League. Â
At the event, staff and other volunteers gave out a total of 610 shirts, 450 cupcakes, 400 stickers, 500 burgers and 500 beverages. At an alumni table and a salmon-demonstration station hosted by Dr. Jeff Jensen, attendees had the chance to win prizes and giveaways. Rounding out the event was music by and face painting by Gabby Carillo.
