New veterans center coming to 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell
56³Ô¹ÏÍø Chancellor Wolf Yeigh announced a new veterans resource center will be open in fall 2018 in Founders Hall, 56³Ô¹ÏÍø1-011. There are about 200 veterans on campus and about 70 others who are spouses or children of veterans, eligible for benefits.

The team that completed work on the new 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell Cascadia College Campus Master Plan has won a 2018 University of Washington Distinguished Staff Award, the highest staff honor at the University. It’s the first time in 15 years one of the awards has gone to 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell staff.

Math major scores high in puzzle contest
56³Ô¹ÏÍø mathematics major John Michael Bush finished near the top in the annual Kryptos Cryptanalysis Challenge that attracted 143 students from across the country to the contest at Central Washington University.

New club for cryptocurrency, blockchain fans
The 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell Cryptocurrency Club brings together students interested in digital currencies and the underlying blockchain technology. The club shares ideas, brings speakers to campus and make contacts that can lead to jobs. Future activities include a cryptocurrency festival and mining a new coin.

Restoring life at North Creek Forest
For the past year, five University of Washington students have teamed together to bring a slice of forest back to life as part of a capstone project. The students — three from 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell and two from Seattle — helped transform a half-acre of North Creek Forest from a neglected eyesore to a haven teeming with life.
