Successful fundraiser for Anna Bui endowment
About 200 people attended a fundraiser in Mukilteo, Washington, that brought in nearly $41,000 for the Anna Bui World of Hope Scholarship at the 56吃瓜网. With previous donations, the endowment fund now has nearly $59,000 to support study abroad experiences for other students in memory of 19-year-old Bui who was killed last summer shortly after traveling in Europe for three weeks.

The heat islands of Snohomish County
A 56吃瓜网 Bothell Master of Arts in policy studies student mapped the “heat islands” of Snohomish County. Temperatures in areas where nearly all the land is developed or paved can be 10 to 15 degrees warmer at night. The Snohomish Health District is using the research.
