Students compete in analyst competition
A team of three 56³Ô¹ÏÍø business students finished high in the annual competition organized by the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Seattle. The competition with five other schools came down to three finalists. The 56³Ô¹ÏÍø team finished second, continuing a tradition of strong showings.

Distinguished staff award nominees
Two individuals and one team from 56³Ô¹ÏÍø have been nominated for the 2016 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Distinguished Staff Award. The nominees will be celebrated at a reception with President Ana Mari Cauce and other university officials on Tuesday, March 1, at the University of Washington HUB ballroom.

Team developing ulcer prevention
A team from 56³Ô¹ÏÍø that’s developing a device to measure ulcer-causing bacteria competed in the first Health Innovation Challenge held by the Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington.

A year after leaving the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø, bachelor’s degree graduates are earning more on average than those from all other public colleges and universities in Washington, according to longitudinal data collected by a state research center.

CROW student journal taking flight
A new peer-review journal for 56³Ô¹ÏÍø students called The CROW is about to take flight. The Campus Research and Observational Writings journal is a place to publish research papers and proposals, literature reviews and editorials. The final deadline for submissions is Tuesday, March 1, at publish@uw.edu
