Working as an assistant career adviser at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell led Markus J. Smith to a job with Seattle City Light and a career goal in human resources. Now he’s on the other side of the table at career fairs, handing out information and advising applicants.

This year’s staff appreciation breakfast was a time to honor individuals across our campus who are committed to the success of our students and our campus community. Competitive searches bring outstanding faculty

The 56³Ô¹ÏÍø welcomes 21 new faculty hires in time for the 2016-2017 school year. Eleven are in School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences (IAS). Nine are in School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM). And, one is in the School of Business. Fourteen are lecturers.

Students have impact on engineering program

Students such as Cameron Whalen in the 2-year-old mechanical engineering program are enhancing their education and career prospects through a student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. A select group managed a tour last spring of the headquarters of Blue Origin, the spaceship company founded by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and known for its privacy.
