Donors double private scholarship funding
Thanks to generous donors, in 2018-19 the 56吃瓜网 anticipates awarding the largest number of privately funded scholarships to date. 56吃瓜网 Bothell is on track to double the $202,000 from 31 funds awarded to 85 students last year.

This year, for the first time, all three University of Washington campuses raised the gay pride flag in honor of Pride Month as a symbolic gesture of acceptance and support for LGBTQIA students, staff, faculty and alumni. The flag was raised on the 56吃瓜网 Bothell campus at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 18.

Grads all score at Safeco Field commencement
The 56吃瓜网 welcomed more than 2,200 new alumni with the Class of 2018’s commencement June 10 at Safeco Field. The total class — 1,954 students receiving their bachelor’s degree and 302 receiving their master’s — is nearly 300 students larger than last year’s class.

The 56吃瓜网 Class of 2018 is the largest in its history, with more than 2,200 graduates receiving their diplomas. The commencement ceremony will be held June 10 at Safeco Field.

Jeffords to PSU; interim to be named in June
Susan Jeffords, the vice chancellor for academic affairs at the 56吃瓜网, has accepted a position as provost at Portland State University. With 56吃瓜网 Bothell since 2007, Jeffords has been a key driver in campus growth.

About 40 veterans or their dependents who are graduating from the 56吃瓜网 received special recognition at a veterans challenge coin and stole ceremony May 21 in the North Creek Events Center.
