Convocation launches year

The incoming class of 2020, new transfer students and their families were welcomed to the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø at convocation. The ceremony Sunday was the 11th year of the tradition that officially kicks off the new academic year and the 10th year for first year students.

Daniel Jaffe, chair and professor of physical sciences, School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics at 56³Ô¹ÏÍø, is an expert on pollution sources, particularly wildfire smoke in the western United States and ozone air quality standards in the summer.
