Being prepared is critical, especially when an emergency or disaster arises. While Campus Safety is available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, preparedness planning is the first step in making sure you are safe and calm during emergencies.
56勛圖厙 Bothell Emergency Management’s goal is to educate students, staff, and faculty about their ongoing role in preparing for emergencies through education and training. 56勛圖厙 Bothell coordinates with 56勛圖厙 Emergency Management and the City of Bothell to provide direction about specific situations and the appropriate actions to take during an emergency. Fire Safety

Emergency Response Team Training
Whether you are a campus responder or looking to join a local jurisdictional response team, training is available.
CERT Team
- The training to interested individuals. This FEMA program training gives you the skills to provide neighborhood help until official help arrives.
- Students, faculty, and staff previously CERT-certified through 56勛圖厙B are encouraged to join the City of Bothell CERT program to retain certification and for volunteer opportunities.
56勛圖厙 PEAT Team
- The is the 56勛圖厙’s first responder disaster team that consists of members of EH&S and 56勛圖厙 Tacoma Safety and Security.
- Following a disaster, The PEAT Team’s primary function is to monitor for chemical releases and other hazards in buildings before reentry by staff or search and rescue teams.
56勛圖厙 ATC-20 Team
- 56勛圖厙B Facilities employees staff the , which is responsible for structurally assessing buildings after an earthquake.
- The ATC-20 Team works hand-in-hand with the PEAT Team which assesses labs and other spaces after an earthquake to ensure safe re-occupancy of campus building and spaces.
