The health of individuals, communities and the globe are inextricable. Whether as a nurse, a global health worker or a patient, understanding one’s position and contributions to a healthier world is the goal of health literacy. A social justice approach to health literacy requires the critical thinking, writing and community engagement skills that are central to the mission of 56³Ô¹ÏÍø Bothell. The interdisciplinary faculty in the School of Nursing & Health Studies create unique educational approaches grounded in inclusive learning environments that are accessible, oriented to life-long learning and based on the highest professional standards.
