56³Ô¹ÏÍø students who serve as legislative interns in Olympia gain an inside look at politics and an inside track to public policy careers. This winter the University sent Shelby Lubchuk and Aysha Raza to the marbled halls of the Capitol for the 2017 regular session of the 65th Washington Legislature.

Trees on campus teach ecological values

There are about 320 trees on the upland portion of the 56³Ô¹ÏÍø campus above the wetlands. Students have started carefully measuring each one to create a database showing their utility to the ecosystem.

Donate to Husky Pantry food drive

A food drive is underway for Husky Pantry, which provides some groceries for students facing food insecurity. Look for donation boxes in campus building until March 17. If you need food, contact the resident adviser at the Husky Village Community Center.
